Gravel Driveway Donated to Raffle Winners in Peaster TX

Sometimes a job means more than the work itself. This one was a little different for us. We had the opportunity to donate a gravel driveway installation to the Wicker Family - the raffle winners from the Greenwood Baptist Clayshoot. That kind of event does a lot of good for the community, and we were glad to be a small part of it.

Here's what the job looked like on our end. We used road base material supplied by Wise A Materials LLC - good people doing good work over there - and spread it across the full driveway run using our CAT 255 track loader. The grading attachment lets us lay material flat and tight without leaving high spots or soft edges. It's one of those tools that makes a real difference in the finished product.

A gravel driveway done right isn't just dumping rock and calling it a day. The base material matters, the grading matters, and getting a consistent depth across the whole surface matters. Road base compacts well and holds up to regular traffic without shifting around on you. Out here in Parker County, where a lot of properties sit on clay-heavy soil, having a properly graded gravel surface keeps mud and erosion from becoming a recurring headache.
