We don't just move earth. Sometimes a client comes along with a vision that pulls us back to where we started - brush in hand, focused on the details. That's exactly what happened with this job at Stillwater Spa at Austin Ranch.
The original walls had a dark, mottled faux finish throughout - heavy tones that were consistent but dated. The goal was to shift the whole feel of the space. We came in and worked through the reception area, the hallways, and the surrounding rooms to give everything a lighter, more cohesive look without losing the texture and character the space already had.
The textured walls were the main challenge here. Getting clean, even coverage over a heavily layered surface takes patience. You can't rush it. We made sure the finish was consistent from the front desk area all the way down the corridor - no thin spots, no overlap marks, just solid, even color throughout.
What we ended up with is a space that feels completely different. The reception area especially reads much brighter and more welcoming now, with the navy accent wall behind the front desk giving it a sharp focal point. The hallway follows through cleanly, keeping that upscale feel the spa was going for.
Projects like this one are a good reminder that good work is good work - no matter what the job is. We're proud of how this one came together, and we're grateful Stillwater Spa trusted us to get it right.
